if one reads MP alot, would know these 2 writers share similar values. however, now on violence issue, we see the difference.
the 1st one should have known about violence better, he personally suffred from brutal attack, as far as i know, the case was not fullt solved, rumor is ccp backed triads were behind. in my view, his case is way more important than nowadays fighting. if HK cna no longer protect free speech, that is the real end of HK. if jimmy lai can still breathe safely in HK, this writer should be safe too. HKers should care more about his case.
sadly it not the case, and even for the sufferer himself, his writing now clearly is finding excuses for violence, really really sad. any person with conscience must draw a clear line on violence, just like international dispute must do the same on war. otherwise this world,will be chaos and blood, total tragedy.
the reason is simple, many things can not easily find consensus or widely agrred fact, jus tlook at the fights between 2 parties now in ameirca, the impeach issue. howevr, violence or war people can easily make judgement, and the fact is realtivley easier to find.
i am relieved the 2nd writer, even mos tof her writings are clearly on anti-government side, but on violence, she cna still face the fact, face own conscience. hopefully HK majority is still people like her. otherwise hK is really hopeless.
